Privacy policy

This policy explains what ReviewKong (“we”) collects when you visit reviewkong.com, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written to be read rather than to be survived.

What we collect

  • Server logs. Standard web-server records: IP address, browser user agent, the page requested, the referring page and a timestamp. Used for security, debugging and aggregate traffic statistics.
  • Click data. When you follow a commercial link, we record that the click happened — which link, when, and the campaign parameters in the URL — so that a referral can be attributed. See our affiliate disclosure.
  • Analytics. Aggregate measurements of which pages are read and for how long. We do not use this to build a profile of you as an individual.
  • What you send us. If you e-mail us, we keep the message and your address for as long as needed to deal with it.

We do not run user accounts, we do not ask for your name to read an article, and we do not sell personal data to anyone.

Legal basis

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on legitimate interests for security logging and aggregate analytics, on consent for any non-essential cookies, and on legitimate interests for attributing affiliate referrals. Where the CCPA/CPRA applies, we do not “sell” or “share” personal information as those terms are defined.

Third parties

When you follow a commercial link you leave this site and arrive on the company’s own property, at which point their privacy policy governs — not this one. Affiliate networks involved in that referral may set their own identifiers. We have no control over what those companies do with the data, which is one reason we keep the number of them small.

Retention

Server logs are kept for a limited operational period and then deleted. Aggregate analytics are retained without identifying individuals. E-mail correspondence is kept while it is relevant and deleted afterwards.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict our processing of your personal data, to object to it, and to complain to a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these, write to [email protected]. We reply within 30 days.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of the page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
